The Palmižana Sand Tale

Once, an Octopus, alone,
climbed with huge Endeavor
upon a lonely Stone.
It happened in the core,
not many was this shown,
at Palmižana Shore.

The little One was sad,
And he felt not well,
Desires hurt him bad,
made him a living Hell.
He talked to his old Lad,
the "White Oracle Shell".

The Shell started to ponder,
 showed him a Rosa Pearl.
said: "It does its Wonder,
if you give it to this Girl,
called by the Name of Rhonda,
the Daughter of the Earl."

He showed him at the Beach
a Princess, lying in the Sand.
Quite eagerly to reach,
quickly thanked his Friend,
sneaks over there to preach,
and to hold her Hand.

Brave, but deeply scared,
he crawled, where she was lying;
Took Courage and he dared,
but Inside he was dying,
because he deeply cared:
"Help me Rhonda!" he was crying.

Rhonda looked around down there,
saw an Octopus in great Demand,
where just before, nude Bodies were;
Bowed down to take his lovely Hand;
Lifted him up with utmost Care
and kissed him on his Pineal Gland.

He was so ashamed, so shy;
Lying there, in her soft Palm;
But he gave himself a Try
and his Breath was very calm;
He gave the Pearl he didn't buy
together with the "Help me!" Psalm.

And then ....

Watch this miraculously Shift
of the tiny Octo-Man;
By the Earl's Girl's greatest Gift,
he changed according to the Plan;
became her Loverboy with Drift,
to extend her Father's Future Clan.

Ten Sons, three Daughters came along,
One by One in fifteen Years;
Hundred Arms, so brave and strong,
practically with no Fears;
Bards sung on their Parent's Song,
leaving us in Tears.

Das Palmižana Sandmärchen

Einst ein Octopus allein,
mit großem Eifer klimmt,
auf den verlass'nen Stein.
Es geschah am Rande dort,
sehr bekannt wird dies nicht sein,
am Palmižana Strand for Ort.

Der Kleine war sehr tief in Trauer,
fühlte sich innen hohl;
Wünsche verletzten auf der Lauer,
brachten ihn zum Höllenpol.
Er sprach zum Freund dort an der Mauer,
der "Orakelschale" wohl.

Die Muschel scheint zu denken,
zeigt ihm Rosa Perlen gar.
sprach: "Wunder wird's dir schenken,
bring' sie einem Mädchen dar,
dies wird dich zu Rhonda lenken,
des Grafen Tochter, sehr wohl wahr."

Er zeigte ihm den Strand,
wo die Komptesse liegt.
Ziemlich eifrig und entbrannt,
schnell dankt er ihm, und fliegt,
hin, schleichend unerkannt,
damit er ihre Hand noch kriegt.

Mutig, doch die Angst lag schief,
kroch er doch hin, dort wo sie lag;
Mit Wagemut und laut er rief,
und fast starb, an jenem Tag,
"Hilf mir, Rhonda!", brünstig - tief,
weil er sie so von Herzen mag.

Rhonda sah sich um betagen,
sah den Oktopus sehr in Begehr,
wo voher nackte Körper lagen,
verbeugt sich ohne Gegenwehr;
hob ihn auf, ohne zu fragen,
küsst ihm die Zirbeldrüse her.
Er war so schüchtern, so beschämt;
Lag dort in der weichen Hand,
doch versucht er's vehement,
atmet ruhig auf trocknem Land,
und gab die Perle ungezähmt,
seiner Hilf', die er jetzt fand.

Und dann ....

Sieh diesen Wechsel, wundersam
durch das Geschenk des Grafen's Kind,
so geschah's dem Okto-Mann,
er traut nun seinem Wandel blind;
Wachsen wird des Vater's Clan,
weil Verliebte stürmisch sind.

Zehn Söhne, Töchter drei,
allesamt in fünfzehn Jahren
- Hundertvier Arm, starkmutig, frei -
und praktisch ohne Ängste waren;
Uns Lässt in Tränen, wie's so sei,
dies Barden-Lied der Vorfahren.
